Description

陆羽（约733年—约804年），名疾，字鸿渐，又字季疵，唐代复州竟陵（今湖北天门）人。唐代茶学家。
上元初年（760年），陆羽隐居苕溪（今浙江湖州），撰《茶经》三卷，对茶的性状、品质、产地、种植、采制、烹饮、器具等皆有论述。《茶经》成为第一部茶叶专著。陆羽生性诙谐，与女诗人李季兰、诗僧皎然交厚。
陆羽一生嗜茶，精于茶道，以第一部茶叶专著——《茶经》闻名于世，对中国茶业和世界茶业发展作出了卓越贡献，被誉为“茶仙”，尊为“茶圣”，祀为“茶神”。陆羽的事迹在《新唐书》《文苑英华》《唐才子传》《全唐文》等文献中有所记载。陆羽的著作颇丰，不过大部分作品已散佚，唯有《茶经》三卷完整存世。他亦工于诗，但传世者不多。《全唐文》存文五篇，《全唐诗》存诗二首。
