洒水观音，三十三观音之一。又称“滴水观音”，右手持柳枝或作法印相，左手执洒水器，作洒水相；或作右手持瓶泻水状。左手持钵，右手执杨柳枝之立像，表“若为大水所漂，称其名号，即得浅处”之文意。

洒水观音洒下清澈的香水，洗净众生深重的烦恼、和因烦恼而玷污的污垢，意思是将大悲甘露洒向人间,为世人造福。洒水观音是普门品中"若为大水"一句的象征。经文上说，“若为大水”只因呼唤了洒水观音的名字，即被从水灾中救出。世间生物没有水就不能生存。洒水观音将水恰到好处地分布于世间，结出地上的丰硕成果。
