水溶性染料（如酸性染料、直接染料、碱性染料等）经与沉淀剂作用生成的水不溶性的颜料。它的色光较艳，色谱较全，生产成本低，比原水溶性染料耐晒牢度高。沉淀剂主要为无机盐、酸、载体等。无机盐沉淀是将氯化钡、氯化钙、硫酸锰等作为沉淀剂与水溶性染料反应,生成水不溶性的钡、钙、锰等的盐类如:永固红F5R(C.I.颜料红48:2)、金光红C(C.I.颜料红53:1)。酸沉淀是利用磷酸-钼酸、磷酸-钨酸、单宁酸等作为沉淀剂与水溶性碱性染料反应生成不溶性的色淀如：耐晒玫瑰色淀(C.I.颜料紫1)、射光青莲(C.I.颜料紫3)。载体沉淀是将水溶性染料沉积在氢氧化铝、硫酸钡等载体表面上，形成水不溶性色淀如：酸性金黄色淀（C.I.颜料橙17）、耐晒湖蓝色淀（C.I.颜料蓝17）
