金丝铁线，又叫“鳝血”，是哥窑的一大特色，由于瓷胚和釉膨胀系数不同，焙烧后冷却时釉层收缩率大，瓷器釉面上便会出现一种自然开裂的现象 ，其纹片如网交织、如冰破裂。之后以墨汁为着色剂人工从裂纹中渗透进去，着色后颜色很深，就形成了金丝铁线。
